My coffee does not brew to the expected temperature

The temperature in each recipe is the target brew temperature on the capsule and is not the drinking temperature in the cup. The temperature displayed on screen is actually the boiler's temperature and not the drinking temperature in the cup.

Before trying any of the steps below, we recommend running an OTA Update on your Morning Machine to ensure that the your machine is on the latest firmware.

Several possible reasons for insufficiently hot coffee are as follows:

1. Cold Drinking Vessel

Warming the machine before dispensing coffee will help maintain your coffee at an optimal temperature for a longer period. We suggest purging your machine before brewing to preheat the system and your drinking vessel. 

2. Low-Temperature Setting

Some of the recommended recipes are set at a lower temperature to avoid over-extraction. If you prefer your coffees at a higher temperature, you can customise your own recipe on the app.

3. Scale Build-Up in the Machine

Scale build-up could affect coffee temperature, you can easily rectify this with a Descaling Procedure.

4. Ambient temperature

The temperature of coffee may also be affected by ambient temperature, type of cup used and other environmental factors.
